Good Sam Music
About Us

The Good Sam Ministry is just one small part of a much larger plan.  One of the goals of Shoal Creek Baptist Church (SCBC) is to help those in need within our community, especially children.  This past Christmas, we adopted a family that we learned about that was facing severe financial difficulties.  They were not asking for help, but when we learned about the situation that their children were going to have to face, SCBC came together taking up donations and rushed out and got the items they needed.  They were missing some of the most basic items that many of us often take for granted.

The preacher made a statement when telling us about their situation. He said, "This is not just a Christmas problem. It is a year long problem." That one statement really got the ball rolling and many of us felt lead by God to begin this ministry.

In Luke 10:25, we read the parable of the GOOD SAMaraitan and we can be reminded that God has placed a responsibility on Christians. This responsibility is to help those in need both physically and spiritually. Jesus throughout the new testament helped many in this same way. First he would help them physically, and then he would help them spiritually. We feel that it is our duty to do the same, and we have started in our own community.

We have several ways in which people can donate to our non-profit ministry. You can donate right here on our site and we accept donations such as nonperishable food items, clothes, blankets, etc at the church too. Just use the Pay Pal button on the front page. Also, we have started recording the first of several CD's that the church will be marketing. SCBC is recording original praise and worship songs that will be available very soon on this site, at our church (SCBC), and at our live performances. These CD's will be compiled of local talent and all of them will guarantee to bring praise and glory to His name. There will be many formats covering a wide variety of styles.

The first CD is a solo acoustic effort that Lee Holmes will be recording. After the first CD is recorded, printed and ready to sell, we will have a small tour of churches. We have had several churches from all over the southeast express their interest in helping us. If you or your church would like to book one of our artists for a show, please contact us. Other CD's will include Acoustic Contemporary, Christian Rock, Gospel, and a Christmas album too. We are always looking for new songs, local talent, and ideas that will help keep this ministry.
